#TEDxCK 2017 Talk

How do you create change in a community? It begins with an idea, followed by action, innovation, determination, and, most importantly, belief! 25 impassioned grade 5 and 6 students did just this, fuelled by their desire to make food more accessible to everyone in their community.

Rather than waiting for someone else to solve the problem, they created an action plan and built and installed Chatham’s first Little Free Pantry. The students gained a deeper understanding of curriculum and developed 21st-century competencies, all while creating a system that allows our community to help our community.

Whether on the giving or receiving end, everyone who has utilized the Pantry has benefited, because these young citizens BELIEVED they could!
